Hi,
Im testing... and already see a problem with this cenario...
1 Side of Wlan (1st place)
1 AP mode Senao 54Mb (conneted with Dlink Omni 15dBi)
1 Hub/Switch for Private lan
1 Hub/Switch for Public lan
1 Firstspot Adv Demo Server (connected witch one of the public and private lan)
1 Microsoft OS with Web Server / Mail Server / Ftp Server / Games Server
2 Side (other place)
1 AP "CLIENTE" mode DLink 2100 54/108Mb (conneting with Stella Parabolic 19dBi to Dlink Omni 15dBi)
1 Hub/Switch 5 ports
1 AP mode Senao 54Mb
3 Side (another place)
1 AP "CLIENTE" mode Dlink 2000 54Mb (conneting with Babuyaga 14dBi to Dlink Omni 15dBi of 1st place)
1 Hub/Switch 5 ports or more...
4 or more computers
so far so good... but
I have started one session on 2nd place appers the first page for login and password looks ok, but if i start with another computer on that place I start a session and no login page appers and i start using with no problems... that means that everybody that start over place 2 and 3 only needs to have 1 login paymente to use the service???
I see the firstspot working "status" and see 1 login user MAC and not may new session over that...
Problem ? my mistake? bad solution?
thanks, Li Nuno X |

Make sure there is no router between FirstSpot and the client PC. If there is routing and NAT is on, from FirstSpot point of view it will see only 1 MAC address. That's why once a client PC logs in, the rest of the PCs in the network segment will surf the Internet without restriction.
(Just make sure the WAN port in the AP is not used, you should be fine.) _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
