Post subject: a couple of questions

Hello, I work for a municipal government who wants to provide free wifi to our citizens. We are going to use a cable modem shared out with linksys gear to provide wireless. What we would like to do is have it be "anonymous" access so users do not need to create a username and password. We would like to keep the "capture" screen. I was able to get this much working with the demo, and it seems to work fine. My questions are, since the users appear as anonymous. Is there any log file that keeps track of them? I would like if possible a list of where they go on the internet, and at the very least a listing of when they were on by MAC. Is this possible? We would like to be able to track down anyone who may be abusing the access. If so, what version of the software would I need to do this? I appears that the low end versions do not support this structure. Please let me know.
Thanx,

URL tracking is only available in the upcoming v4 (Advanced Edition).

I will send you a email on the link to download v4 beta 1.

Post subject: ok got the ver 4 download

I have ver 4 up and running with anonymous access turned on. How do I look at the logs to see what MAC addresses have been connected and what url's they have been to? I have the url tracking turned on, but I do not see any way to look at log files. Please let me know. We are very interested in getting this up and running. Is there a target date for release of ver 4 and what might it cost for a government agency? Please let me know.
Thanx,

The URL tracking information is within the table fsurl. If you are using default datasource, you can use Microsoft Access or ODBC interface to view the file fsurl.dbf directly.

We will definitely release v4 beta 2 before the Christmas. Our plan is that by that time you can officially purchase v4.

As for pricing, we will send you an email to discuss.
