Our company use Cisco 1200AP to provide wifi for internal and external client using different vlans.
I am looking for a software that can
1) Display splash page/disclamier
2) with intergrate user database, and also support external radius...
3) let client to setup their own access
Does firstspot has all these feature? which version of firstspot do i need?
Does firstspot support encryption (WEP, WPA1 or WPA2) ??
Thanks

1) Yes.
2) Yes.
3) Yes, you can take advantage of the self sign-up feature.
WEP and WPA pre-shared key are supported. The rest of WPA and WPA2 are not supported (it is not really necessary for Hotspot environment since you probably don't want such a complex setup for the client PC anyway). _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

thanks Alan,
two more Qs.
1) Can i use this same setup to display splash or do page redirection for my client on my wired guest vlan (clients that failed 802.1x auth on wired lan)?
2) So firstspot supports PSK of WEP and WPA, that means client needs to enter the key manually?
So which version of Firstspot do i need base on my requirement? |

1) Yes, FirstSpot supports both wireless and wired access
2) Yes.
The above answers apply to the current FirstSpot v3. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
