The FirstSpot manual mentions MyODBC 3.52 as the ODBC driver being used. However the current stable version is only at 3.51 and I've read messages in the MySQL forums stating that 3.52 is a 'dead-end'. I can't successfully create a File DSN under MyODBC 3.51, can anyone post the contents of such a DSN here?
If we can't use a File DSN at all how else does one get FirstSpot to talk to a MySQL database? |

If you check out our readme.rtf, the supported version of MySQL ODBC is 3.51.04. Please ignore the reference of ODBC 3.52 driver in Chapter 8 of firstspot_guide.pdf.
Also, please use ODBC Data Source Admininstrator to create File DSN. This is the only supported way of generating File DSN. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

I've been looking all over the mySQL site, and the only version I can find for download is 3.51.12 - and it won't produce .dsn files. I did find a reference on their site that said to _never_ use file dsns with that version - so where can I download 3.51.04?

Thanks for the link! Man you guys are quick with the support! I just bought a license (mainly because of how well you guys support your products). There are a lot of different solutions out there, but you definately stand out in my mind! Great job!
