There is no special check box setting needed for Scenerio 3. Only Scenerio 2 needs special "attention" from FirstSpot. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

For Scenerio 3, set "Enable scenario 2 (distributed network topology)" to "No". _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

I have Scenario 3 working like a charm. I'm running SBS 2003 and a branch office tunnel with two VPN routers. Once I got my routing and tunneling figured out everything else fell in to place -- DNS, DHCP relay, etc. Also, once authenticated through FS I kicked on my VPN client software for corporate access and successfully tunneled through my branch office tunnel for access to corporate resources. Key words don't work while the VPN client is running because the client is using the VPN client DNS settings, but the split tunneling feature of the VPN client still allows for public access. Once disconnected from the VPN client key words work just fine. I was beginning to think the money and time was all for nothing, but it really finally works. My goal?...Dent SBCs Freedomlink in the lower Midwest and maybe make a little money. dcgilpin@cox.net |
