Post subject: Free hotspot software question

My requirements are minimal. All I need is for users to be directed to a splash page. I need the splash page to be modifiable. This is for a free wireless hotspot, therefore the ability for users to register and login is not critical. It would be nice to have the option, though. I would like to be able to manage account usage to prevent spamming. Does anyone know if the FirstSpot Start 3.x will meet these criteria?

FirstSpot Start Edition has a 10-concurrent-session limitation which you will have to decide if that's enough for your upcoming deployment.

Check out http://www.patronsoft.com/firstspot/editions.html for details.

The 10 user limit may be sufficient. I'm assuming all the other criteria were met? Thanks

Yes, 'blue' you can customize a page. Are you requesting that the user get the splash page at first, then they can surf? Or do you want to limit them to the splash page only?

From your brief description, it looks like Start Edition will fit your case.

Yes, the splash page first, then I would like them to surf. My needs are pretty basic. A splash page, and monitoring ability. Thanks for your help!
