We are wanting to provide Internet access to external customers without giving them access to the network and its resources, would this work?. We have outside customers that bring there laptop and want to be able to use our internet access. Is there anyway that they would be able to use this software, but our normal staff and students would be able to get out on the internet the way they our now?. We are useing an ISA server for our student and staff internet accces. |

Without knowing too much about your topology, I have to guess a bit.
Try the following setup:
Guest PC -> FirstSpot -> -------------------------------------|
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .-----> Router -> Internet
Normal staff and student PC -> Intranet -> Router -----|
