My company is plannning to use Firstspot for its WI-FI project. We wish to roll out WISP services in our city for consumers. We are currently evaluating the software's trail version . Everything works fine but i am not able to control bandwidth as per mentioned in product sheet , which is very important for us prior to we use Firstspot for deployment on our wireless network.

Please note that:

1) There is the problem with upload throttling (download throttling works fine) with certain types of network card (e.g. 3com or Intel) in the current version of v3. It will be fixed in the coming v3 update.

2) The bandwidth throttling value cannot be lower than 20. Again, it will be improved in the coming v3 update.

3) Can you be a bit more specific on your problem? Please note that we use a tool can NetMeter to measure the bandwidth and we find that this tool is pretty accurate.

The just released v3.0.4 will improve on point 1 and 2. Please refer to http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=381 for the v3 version history.
