if you do a manual start, does FirstSpot start correctly? Assume FirstSpot is started correctly using the manual start, is www.ebay.fr then working?

For the auto-start issue, please send us the debug log (under FirstSpot\log subdirectory) to firstspot@patronsoft.com .

Thanks for your answer alan,

the trouble with ebay site appears when :

1. The firstspot is correctly started (manual start using GUI firstspot program)

2. the http://www.ebay.fr is the first site I want to visit whereas i'm not logged in (so I have to be redirected to the hotspot logon page but I have a 404 page). Please note that if i'm logged on the hotspot and I ask for www.ebay.fr there is no problem. Have you tested those two sequences?

Thanks a lot.
ps: for the problem with auto start I will send yuou my log soon

Nicolas

We try to use http://www.ebay.fr as the first site to visit (before logging on FirstSpot). Still no problem.

I suspect that somehow when you visit http://www.ebay.fr it redirects to a https page (maybe there is a cookie in your PC?). Note that currently you cannot visit a https page as the first site to visit. I recommend you try to use another "clean" client PC to test this case again.
