|
|
Hello,
I cannot get password offloading to work. This is the procedure I follow:
- stop FirstSpot
- tick 'Enable password offloading'
- path: 'C:\Program Files\FirstSpot\dispatcher\encrypt_pwd.exe'
- start FirstSpot
- the user is redirected to login page and submits username and password
The info box then says 'Please wait!' and the browser times out waiting for a response from the server.
If the user visits http://myserver:5788/ directly and tries to login, the following error is displayed:
---------------------------------------
Notice: Undefined variable: sess_patronsoft2 in
c:\program files\firstspot\authserv\login.php on line 294
Warning: com_invoke(): Invoke() failed: Type mismatch. Argument: 4 in
c:\program files\firstspot\authserv\login.php on line 294
Invalid login! Please try again...
---------------------------------------
I have the same problem when I try to use my own password encryption file. Is this a common problem?
Regards,
Derek |

1) v3 beta 1 has problem with password offloading, we will fix it in v3 beta 2.
2) You shouldn't access http://myserver:5788/ directly, it is not going to work. Instead, all you need to do is to access any valid web site, and FirstSpot will redirect you to the login page.
Thank you for your feedback. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~

I would like to modify a user's password by accessing the database directly. If I can't use password offloading for now, can you tell me what encryption algorithm your encrypt_password.exe uses?
