Can you please direct me how to upgrade FirstSopt from 7.0.7 to the current version. 7.0.9.
If I just download and install the trail will it use the existing license key, or do I need to download a licensed copy?
And will it retain settings and web page customisations?

Just dowload the trial version, run the new setup.msi. FirstSpot will update everything for you.
Note that all v7 version share the same license key.

While during this minor upgrade FirstSpot won't overwrite your files, it is always good practice to backup everything first.
To backup, just stop FirstSpot and copy everything under FirstSpot directory.
