You can take advantage of our user attribute "Bind to first login MAC address". In that case, each username will be tied to a single device.
Refer to chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Is there not a way in the configuration to state that a customer may have "x" number of devices under one login???
This feature is available with the other software that im looking at??? |

Under the Plans tab where it says
When no. of logins exceeds:
Would that cover it, meaning if i say you can have up to 3 devices logged into that account(3 different MAC addresses) anymore and you get suspended???
Or does that setting mean something else??? |

Actually, you should use user attribute "Multiple Logins" instead.
Just go to Configuration Manager -> Users, click Add, click Multiple Logins and enter 3 in "Max login limit". _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Would that require someone to physically do that for each customer who wants that feature???
Would it not be easier to have a plan setup that the customer can choose when they self signup???
Less administration, I have people checking in and out daily.??
I would much rather have this automatic with customer self signin. |

Currently, Plan (which Self Sign-up required) doesn't support Multiple Logins user attribute.
We modify the Self Sign-up PHP so that it will support Multiple Logins and assume Max Login of 3. Please download it at below:
http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download/patch/customization_of_self_signup.zip
Just unzip the file and copy fs_signup.php to the FirstSpot\authserv directory. The Max Login value is set at line 150. We add code at line 149-164 to cater for Multiple Logins. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
