Hi,
We are using v7.0.5.
We created one single plan where accounts are valid only for one day (in fact suspended after 12 hours) and we enabled the auto-delete parameter.
In the User tab, we set the "remove users that has not login..." to 1 day.
We scheduled a daily task "removeuser.exe 1" running at night and it always terminates successfully. Even launched manually in a DOS box, it ends with "succeed".
But still, user accounts are not deleted and keep adding up.
What did we miss ?
Many thanks for your help !

We re-test in v7.0.5 and cannot reproduce your problem.
Note that the account needs to logout for more than 24 hours for your case to take into effect. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Thanks for your quick reply.
Well I have accounts that did not log in since several days, if not weeks.
What is strange also is that accounts are not disabled, although the condition to suspend accounts is set to 12 hours.
Is it 12 hours from account creation time or from logout time ?
Even if it is from logout time, I have an example where the account did not log in since early yesterday and it is now 11am and the user is not disabled.
I would like to have all accounts erased automatically every night. Where am I wrong or how could I do that pls ?
Tx again

The auto-delete feature will delete username which is "inactive" for x number of days. The "x" needs to be a complete day and it counts from the last logout time.
Also, note that "auto-delete feature" is unrelated to "condition to suspend accounts" user attribute. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

ok fine, tx.
Then I summarise my last points in 2 separated questions :
1. how is that the accounts are not suspended/disabled although the 12 hours (as set in the conditions) expired since long ? Strangely, when I look at a user account, the suspend time is correctly calculated and displayed but the account still remains enabled when this time has passed.
2. how can I make the system delete automatically all accounts every day (sometime during the night) ?

1. Can you give us a specific test case so that we can take a look?
2. You can use FirstSpot API. Refer to chapter 10 of firstspot_guide.pdf for details. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Good idea. Can I use wildcards with fsapi ?
Something like "fsapi deleteuser username=*" ?

2) For "deleteuser", wildcard is not supported.
Alternatively, if you are using the default dbf, you can simply replace with a "blank" dbf. Refer to http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1514 for more information. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

We received your screen shot.
1) Actually, the "condition to suspend accounts" attribute doesn't make the username "disabled". FirstSpot will only logout the user and prevent him from future login. The attribute "Account is disabled" is for other purpose.
2) You can write a simple cmd batch file to achieve this purpose. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
