| How does Patronsoft's QoS services compare to those of the NetEqualizer appliance? Will it throttle back large files, torrent, and other bandwidth intensive applications so that interactive web traffic (http, email, chat, gaming, etc) receives the number one priority? |

You can use Bandwidth Throttling and QoS. Bandwidth Throttling allows you to limit the bandwidth of individual user so that he cannot monopolize the bandwidth. QoS is mainly for VoIP, which guarantees the minimal bandwidth in order for VoIP to function correctly. For details, please check out chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf
Note that QoS is available in Advanced Edition only. Refer to http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/editions.html for details.
