Please excuse my stupidity but, in your documentation I didn't see anything on help to setup mysql to work with this software. Is there any help for those of us that don't understand mysql and ODBC or how to install and configure them? |

By default, FirstSpot will work with the bundled dbf datasource, so you don't need to setup ODBC.
Optionally, if you want to change to MySQL datasource, please refer to readme.rtf for more information. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Ok, so the software comes with it's own database, now I have another problem. I loaded the software started the interface and tried to start the server, it went to starting (green) and then right back to stopped (red), any idea why? I just asumed it needed mysql and an ODBC. |

Something wrong (e.g. driver) with your installation. Please:
1) uninstall FirstSpot completely.
2) reinstall FirstSpot. Pay attention to the message at the end of setup to see whether there is any error
3) don't change any FirstSpot setting and try to start FirstSpot within Configuration Manager. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
