Always INVALID LOGIN when using new version 2.15

Post subject: Always INVALID LOGIN when using new version 2.15

We today downloaded version 2.15, uninstalled 2.13 which we had evaluated before and installed 2.15.
Since then we have defined various users but no one can login to Firstspot. we always only get INVALID LOGIN.

Any idea why ?

Additional information :

The sample users (preconfigured) work (e.g. user = sample, password = password), but all users we insert new, do not work !

Hello,

Did you completely uninstall ver 2.1.3 before installing 2.1.5?

If you have any user created in the previous version, you can use our user export/import utility to bring them over to a new version. You can download the utility from here:

And did you create new users under the User tab inside Configuration Manager; or using any scripts?

If the problem still persists, please send us the following files at firstspot@patronsoft.com :

- all files under the FirstSpot\DataSource directory
- all files under the FirstSpot\Log directory

Karl,

we did a complete uninstall of the old version first.

Then we did an install of 2.15.

The builtin user "sample" works.

But when we add new users with passwords, they cannot login.


I will send you the files when I'm in the office.

Karl,

I have now sent the requested files and directories to firstspot@patronsoft.com via email.

By the way, we added all users in the "users" tab in the web management program of Firstspot.
