Post subject: BILLING GROUPS

Can we do differents Billing Groups?

(For example; we need to have one Billing Group based on Low Broadband and other different billing group with High Broadband Internet access).

In each group we will have until 50 end users (more or less).

Other question is over credit card payment. Can we put into Firstspot browser any different credit payment institution? (For example any Spanish Bank versus Paypal).

Many Thanks.

We will wait your answers.

Best Regards.

The bandwidth throttling feature in FirstSpot can help you to achieve the low/high broadband needs.

You probably need the Advanced Edition as it can give you the flexiblity to assign different bandwidth allowance to different users. Standard Edition can only apply the same throttling limit to all users.

You can consider creating 2 type of users of different bandwidth allowance. Although FirstSpot does not explicitly use 'group' to manage users, you can create users with specific naming convention for the ease of management.

Simple steps to achieve this:

1) Download our 'bulk users creations utility' from here:

http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=136

2) That utility can help you to create, for example, 50 users of same bandwidth allowance with names like:

highbb01, highbb02, ...., highbb50

It will also assign random passwords to them and save the username and password in a separate csv-format file. You can use any printing merging application that accept csv to print out access cards.

3) Repeat step 2 to create another group of low bandwidth allowance. Please be reminded every time the utility runs, it will overwrite the previously-generated csv output file.

It's a bit complicated than that. If you can send us an email( firstspot@patronsoft.com) and let us know your preferred payment gateway, we'll provide the help you need.
