|
|
Hello,
I installed the trial version of First Spot on an XP pro sp2 machine. everything worked fine. but when I log in with a default user sample password I get the above mentioned error of odbc. I have installed the default configuration and changed nothing afterwards. I also set up the file dsn for XP as the default that is included in the program and used dbase4 for it.
the system actually works because when I log in with a non existing user I get invalid login error. but normal users cannot pass through the login screen.
thanks in advance |

You shouldn't need to touch Windows ODBC DSN at all if you use the default dbf (dbase) that comes with FirstSpot. I suggestion you:
1) uninstall FirstSpot
2) remove all the changes you did with ODBC, DSN, etc...
3) reinstall FirstSpot (try to stick with the default setting, at least initially) _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

thank you. by reinstalling it worked. but I had to use an english version on xp. can the cause of the problem be the localized version of XP i.e. Turkish language.
Although it worked I have another question. the notebook I am using is not being directed to the login page on the first spot machine. but I can enter the address manually and it works fine thereafter.
What could be the cause of this problem?
thank you in advance |
