I can not get Apache to start. I an ping the IP of 10.20..7.1 but am unable to pull up the configuration manager or login page. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Also can we use a different version of Apache? |

FirstSpot comes bundle with its own Apache server. In fact, you have to uninstall Apache and PHP first before you run FirstSpot's setup.msi. FirstSpot's setup.msi will setup everything correctly and you don't need to run other setup program.
Please try to uninstall FirstSpot and make sure there is no Apache/PHP installed, and then reinstall FirstSpot.
Also, make sure there is no personal firewall in your machine. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

This is a rare error. I still suspect you have some residue program in your Windows (e.g. PHP). Please double-check your Registry to make sure no Apache/PHP references are in your machine.
BTW, what OS and SP level are you currently using? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

XP SP2 is fine. One more thing you can check is to go to Windows Event Viewer to see if there is any related error.
You might want try to install FirstSpot in another Windows. Note that we prefer clean Windows (OS + SP2, with no updates nor other software). _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
