I see that there is the possibility to disable the dhcp server. That way, can i use the dhcp server from windows 2003 combined with firstspot?
If there is no possibility to use an external dhcp server, is there any chance to add some configuration into the firstspot dhcp server?
The basic configuration needs to be extended in our case. We want to set the proxy server information through dhcp. See this link (option 2): http://www.grape-info.com/doc/win2000srv/internet-gw/wpad/index.html
I ask this because the client must use a proxy server, but we don't want to let them configure everything in there browservers |

You can disable FirstSpot DHCP server. Just go to the DHCP category within Configuration Manager.
For instruction to use third party DHCP server with FirstSpot, please check out http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2386#2386 (just ignore the DNS part) _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
