|
|
I am using ver 3.12. I am running FirstSpot on a server that is connected to 5 switches and 25 routers. If all other settings are correct, should I use MAC based or IP based Session handling?
The problem many of my users have is this: intermittently, after they log in, they can not get past the default, free web page. I say "intermittently" because it does not happen all the time, or to the same user when it occurs.
Thanks,
Andrew |

1) If there is a router between FirstSpot and the client PC, you need to use IP-based Session Handling
2) Please check your routing and responsiveness of your DNS. These 2 factors are the most common cause of your intermittent problem. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Alan, thanks for the help.
What exactly should I look at to check my routing? How do I check responsiveness of my DNS? If its bad what do I do to fix it?
Thanks again,
Andrew |
