Post subject: RADIUS Authentication Error

We are attempting to use RADIUS authentication. If we key in bad UID/PWD combination we are properly informed and allowed to try again. If we key in valid UID/PWD we get 'Internal Server Error' Please contact FirstSpot yadda yadda.

There is nothing in the Logs at all.
Our Radius Server is reporting that it send an Allow packet to Firstspot.
Comm Traces show the packet leaving our Radius server.

We have our own RADIUS server that works for IBM, Shiva, 3Com, and Cisco equipment but for some reason FirstSpot isn't happy with the response. Is there docu on what you expect to get back from RADIUS?

Thank You,

- Larry

If you check our readme.rtf file, we only support Microsoft IAS and Funk.

Unfortunately, RADIUS is not a very tight standard. So most likely you need to use the above RADIUS server in order to work with FirstSpot.

Well we don't want to swich RADIUS servers because it's just tied to to many things. We have 3500 users in there and don't want to have to have to replicate them to yet another server just so we can use another RADIUS product. Rather than doing that we'd download a flat file every night to the FirstSpot server though this isn't an option we really like. Since we wrote our own RADIUS server we were hoping to be able to make a few mods to it to support FirstSpot.
