| I am unable to change the message that says "Welcome to our hotspot" and the exception free websites will not go away from the redirect page either. I restarted the software and made all the necessary changes. |

Since I dont see a option in the configuration manager and being a curious guy I have gone though quite a few of the config files you guys have for the software.
Under \FirstSpot\ directory I open up config.ini and change the line

No, you shouldn't do that.
You can go to Configuration Manager -> UI Customization -> click Show/Hide default language content -> change the text you need -> click save.
BTW, we improve the UI a bit in the latest v6 to make it more obvious.

Ok that worked thank you!
Now as to the exception free websites... how do I remove them off of that page. I have removed all exception free websites from the configuration manger and those still show up. |

For Exception Free Websites link, for v5 you need to delete them in login_form.php directly.
We also improve this in the new v6 so that one can change them in UI Customization tab directly.

Alan I appreciate your attempt at selling me on the new version! But I will not be buying it. We are a Non Profit organization that does not have a ton of money to throw around. We gets grants here and there but must be very wise with how we spend our money. If the product is working I am not gonna mess with it.
I appreciate your help and understanding in helping frustrated customers. I did not mean to come off to confrontational or angry.

Actually, it is perfectly fine that you keeping using the old v5.
Just want to inform other people that might be reading this post that some of difficulties you are having are alleviated in the new v6
