Post subject: Problems with changing IP for the private network

Hello greetings from Mexico.

Try changing the IP address of the card to the private network 10.5.0.2 from 10.20.7.1 by, and I did change the network card and in the section Categories \ Dispatcher \ Visitor IP Network Interface stopped working but the riniciar after FirstSpot system.

You can make the change we need or have to leave the ip 10.20.7.1?

Please make sure change the IP within Configuration Manager -> Dispatcher -> Visitor Network Interface IP, click save, and then restart FirstSpot.

If you still have difficulty, please post your firstspot_gw_srv_[timestamp].log under FirstSpot\log directory for further analysis.

This is the change i made:

Visitor Network Interface IP: 10.20.7.1
Visitor Network subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

to

Visitor Network Interface IP: 10.5.0.2
Visitor Network subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Okay. Your Internet Network Interface IP address space (obtain from Windows) must be different than Visitor Network Interface IP address space (obtain from FirstSpot Configuration Manager setting) since FirstSpot is really a router.

Either you:

1) change Visitor Network Interface IP to something else witihin Configuration Manager, e.g. 10.5.1.2/255.255.255.0

or

2) change Internet Network Interface IP to something else within Windows networking interface.
