Post subject: DBCS (Double-Byte Character Set) support

I tried to change the text in lang.php and add another language in the UI page.. but when I select the new language for login page, it don't work.. the massage say:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C\us:\FirstSpotersetting\chs1.php:1) in C:\FirstSpot\authserv\fs_lang.php on line 77

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C\us:\FirstSpotersetting\chs1.php:1) in C:\FirstSpot\authserv\fs_lang.php on line 149

the text of the login page has changed but the login just don't work, it respond with another warning page:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C\us:\FirstSpotersetting\chs1.php:1) in C:\FirstSpot\authserv\fs_lang.php on line 77

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C\us:\FirstSpotersetting\chs1.php:1) in C:\FirstSpot\authserv\fs_lang.php on line 149

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C\us:\FirstSpotersetting\chs1.php:1) in C:\FirstSpot\authserv\fs_lang.php on line 371

I've tried the unicode/utf-8 setting, still the same result..

1) FirstSpot\config.ini
2) FirstSpot\usersetting\chs1.php

We receive them correctly, thanks.

We are looking into your problem. FirstSpot works fine with non-unicode double-bytes character set (e.g. BIG5, GB). We are working on a fix for the unicode encoding.

Please download the following file, unzip it and replace fs_lang.php in FirstSpot\authserv.

http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download/patch/602/fs_lang.zip

As your language file is Unicode in nature, you also need to change the related Character Encoding field from gb2312 to utf-8 under UI Customization tab in Configuration Manager.

This fix will be applied in the versions after v6.0.1.

Further information about this patch:

1) FirstSpot will be able to read the customized language files used in Dynamic Multiple Languages Support under UI Customization if user provides files which are saved in UTF-8 encoding format.

2) Client browser with "Unicode (UTF-8)" encoding setting will display proper texts without PHP errors.
