Authentication page does not come up

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade from 4.0 to 5.0 and I am having troubles getting from the first remote network to the authentication page.

DHCP / DNS work fine but it seems the server does not provide the auth. page properly:
- the tracert test to the free exception sites looks good
- telnet on TCP port 80 to the free exception sites looks good also (but if I open a browser window I cannot get anything and the session times out)
- DNS resolution is OK for all sites
- telnet on TCP port 80 also works for non exception free sites but I only get connected - I cannot really see anything inside the telnet session

Something strange in your setup. Please:
1) make sure there is no customization in your v5 (better yet do a clean install)
2) do the test in http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1086

Post the result.
