problem of access configuration manager

In configuration manager,I had tick "allow configuration manager access from the public network (e.g. internet)",but I can't access in other computer(in same network),I type http://10.20.7.1:5787,then occur "you can't permission to access this server",why?...thx for your help!

First, you should select "Allow configuration manager access from Wi-Fi Hotspot". Also, please restart FirstSpot to have the setting take into effect.

p.s: http://10.20.7.1:5787 and http://publicIP:5787 are same?

http://10.20.7.1:5787 is the link you need to access from the Hotspot side, where http://publicIP:5787 is the link for the Internet side.

You need to make sure you can ping the above IP from the remote device first in order to make sure you have the underlying network configured correctly.

I'm having the same problem. I've also checked the 2 boxes that are suppose to let me into the config manager but they do not work.

More things to check:

1) Maybe it sounds obvious, but did you press save after selecting the check box?

2) Again, you need to restart FirstSpot once to have this new setting to take into effect.

3) Also, please make sure the underlying TCP/IP connection is okay. The easiest way is to ping FirstSpot (via Private IP or Public IP, depending which side you are from) from the PC that you want to access Configuration Manager.

4) Finally, check whether you have firewall, access restriction in your FirstSpot machine that block incoming port 5787.

Customers can login fine and I know that the IP is 10.20.7.1 but checking those boxes don't work (http://10.20.7.1:5787) V3 of firstspot worked better I think. I have even changed my network card and used my last key, but still having the same problems.
Also I have noticed that my server (tried 3 different servers with 2 different nics) restarts for no reason at any time. but never did with v3 of firstspot.
Everything on firstspot is configured the right way. When I tried the 3 different servers I did format and re-install windows xp. I know it is not the computers. is there anything that it could be? Could you install firstspot on your own computer to see if you have the same problems.

I have checked those 2 boxes and restarted computer after saving but now like always, patronsoft will not start! I can't even access the config man. on the computer that firstspot is installed to. I just get "page cannot be displayed" any Ideals?

I still can't access the config but at least firstspot is started now.

No I have not changed it. Apache would not start so I looked at the event log and seen where it said cannot start beacuse of line 1050 in the httpd.conf so then and only then have I changed it. Now firstspot works great, I didnt need that other key after all, Why would that have changed to begain with?

I put in the code that you said and again, firstpot won't start. so I put my code in and it is working great. I know that it is the wrong code but it is the only way to get firstspot started and end all of the calls that I'm getting.

Not too sure why. Maybe you previously save a wrong IP (and corrupt the file) or maybe it is a FirstSpot bug. Anyway, just keep monitoring the situation...
