Can we configure this system for a couple classes of users so:
Class1) Gets a very low bandwidth comparable to dialup (36 kbps) with a shared user/pass and time contraints (9am to 9pm)
Class2) After payment (cc or paypal) gets a higher bandwidth allocation (256 kbps) no time limits.
Class3) Admin accounts offering full band/no time limits
-----------------------------
Doing some advance design questions at this point.
Basically trying to see if I can make a biz plan out of the crazy costs it will take to get a broadband connection (wireless 6 mile shot) to the jungle here east of SRQ. No chance to eval actual hands-on equipment as of yet till a plan exists . . .
Appreciate suggestions! |

Currently in v4, FirstSpot bandwidth control mechanism is per user bandwidth throttling, which requires administrator to set the value in advance (before login)
Your idea is more dynamic, and the user bandwidth value will change after credit card payment, or depends on the time of the day. No, FirstSpot does not support this (yet). We need to investigate the demand for this kind of "user class" feature. Any more background information will certainly be helpful. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
