hi...
i am having no problems connecting to the server in view my computers!! without firstspot server on..
as soon as the server comes on!! it fails to connect to the server..
i need to connect to my server..
what do i do?

i am on windows 2000 proffesional..
i have puchased the standard edition.. and thus no client isolation |

hi.. no i dont have a maintanence..
ok.. see.. this is the problem..
if firstspot is not on... i can access my server \\server from any system without any problem.
when i switch on firstspot.... i cannt access my server... or it will not connect thru view my computers...
i need firstspot to work.. and i also need to connect from other systems..
main server - windows 2000 pro
other systems windows 2000 pro connecting via switch..

ok where are your other computer connected in the loop? are they connected to the side where accesspoints are connected or are they on the network side, it will make a difference which side its on |

it is connected to the server!!that is thru a wired network..
welll server connected to switch... switch connected to all my nodes inlcuding the wireless access point..
the only problem is \\server will not work... but \\10.20.7.1 will work.
any suggestions.. i need \\server to work..becuase some hotel accounting software works that way... |

Note that your client PC and machine "server" should be in the same subnet.
