Hi,
We have a new client who runs a hotel asking if this is possible. I intend to buy FirstSpot Premium Edition:
They have an existing WiFi system that cannot be changed, it is centrally managed so FirstSpot would not manage the WiFi, nor would FirstSpot be a DHCP or DNS server. When hotel guests log into the WiFi, they want to ask the guests to launch their web browser, and the first time, the web browsing is interrupted by FirstSpot which presents the guest with a login page - the guest has to enter their email address, but no password, and tick a box saying they agree to the hotel's web usage policy, and then the guest is allowed to browse the web.
So, the only function FirstSpot has to do is present the guest with the login page the first time they try to browse the web, and make a record of the details the guest typed in. FirstSpot also has to check that the email address entered by the guest is in the format of an email address, whether genuine or not (I realise FirstSpot cannot check that).
Is that what FirstSpot is designed to do?
Thank you. |

Yes, FirstSpot can do that. We support Email Verification which the end user needs to click on a link within a certain time period in order to gain access. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
