Ok I have tuned it all up a bit and it seems to be working ok.

I am using scenario 3 with ip helper-address commands on the routers.

I just need a bit of help tailoring it all to my needs.

In essence I am ready to buy the full version.

Please advise?

You can simply visit purchase online. Note that as your system seems to be a bit complex, we recommend you purchase our maintenance option (which includes official support). You can use the below link:

Thank you in advance.

I am going to buy the full on version with maintainence / support etc.

I have quite a bit of customizations that I am almost certainly going to need some help with.

I have to say that once I nailed the Multiple Network Segements part, it all just worked so well.

A bit of planning regarding my chosen subnets has allowed me to implement a simple ACL to prevent HotSpot users from having access parts of my LAN that I don't want them to see.

Is it safe to allow the Public Interface to have direct access to the raw Internet or should I put a Firewall in place.

Also can I set it up so that only email & web traffic can be passed?

Regards

You should put a simple NAT router (or firewall) between Internet Network Interface side. That way, it can prevent direct access from the Internet at large.

Yes, you can allow only email and web to be passed. You need to enable Port Filtering (under Access Control). Refer to chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information
