Post subject: odbc problems
I have followed all the directions in the manual for this software for setting up an external sql server database...i can set up an OBDC file on the first spot server and it test connects just fine...but when I place the file name in the authentication server config and try to start firstspot....it starts ok..but on the user tab it states...sql error...sql server login failed for user........sql state 28000 in sqlconnect in program files\firstspot\cfgmgr\users.php on line 22.

Any suggestions??

Are you using Microsoft SQL or MySQL? MS-SQL is a bit tricky, please refer to this thread for details:
