|
|
We have installed firstspot 7.0.9 trial version on Windows server 2003 enterprise edition SP2.
We need to use firstspot as guest portal.
Installation was successful but after installation it will automatically change the ip address of internet interface to 10.20.7.1.
If I try to access http:\\<firstspot IP>:5786 it is not giving any username and password screen.
Need assistance for the same. |

This is by design. You should:
1) Access Configuration Manager using the Windows shortcut in Windows start menu
2) login with firstspot/password as username and password
3) click Start button
4) after that, the client can try to obtain an IP from FirstSpot DHCP server
5) when the client access a normal web site like yahoo.com, he should see the FirstSpot login page.
Refer to chapter 2 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

At least initially, you should use FirstSpot DHCP server instead.
Please shutdown all external DHCP servers, and make sure FirstSpot DHCP server is enabled (default). You may need to restart FirstSpot if you make any change in the FirstSpot settings. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

We need to forword guest username and password to our cisco RADIUS server for authentication. How can we configure external RADIUS settings in firstspot?
Is there any way to check communication between RADIUS and firstspot server? |

First, does the basic FirstSpot operation work okay now?
FirstSpot RADIUS Authentication Mode supports Microsoft RADIUS server (IAS or NPS) and FreeRADIUS, so you might need to setup those RADIUS server as proxy to your Cisco RADIUS. Refer to http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1175 for more information. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
