yes, i can surf the internet, use hotmail or msn on the web browser too, use instant messengers such as AIM and Yahoo messenger.

when i'm using outlook to send emails with my hotmail or msn email account it will not send. however, i can receive emails for my hotmail and msn account into outlook, just can't send outgoing mail with outlook.

i can send/receive emails with POP3 settings.

Thanks very much for your detailed information provided - that unique combination is an interesting one. We will also try that out in our test lab and let you know the findings.

We've tested using outlook/hotmail integration and sending emails without any problem through FirstSpot.

Do you have the same problem if your client machine connects to the Internet directly without going through FirstSpot?

Can you also check if you have any personal firewall installed that may block those particular traffic?

my client machine works fine when it's connecting to the internet directly when using outlook/hotmail. I'm using outlook 2003 sp1, could that be a problem?

no firewall here.
