Post subject: Problems on instaling Firstspot on windows 7

Hello
Setup is not starting ,the error mentioned: "This package does not support instalation on 64-bits version of Windows"

We bought a new server given that the old one is having an unpredictable behaviour due its age.

How can we solve that?

Regards,

Renato

Would there be a way to publish a how to virtualize firstspot, given that we will try this solution?

By the way, we the advanced version here,by what i have read here , there will be no problems in doing that.

The FirstSpot setup is really the same, since it is really the VM responsibility to maintain compatibility.

Note that we only support VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V, and you need FirstSpot Premium or Advanced Edition.

Hello Allan,

How are you?
We have already done the following things:
*Installed VMWare Workstaion 7.0
*Installed Windows XP Profession on the virtualized Partion
*Downloaded and installed Firstspot v.6.0.7.-Trial Version

But have not installed the router for spreading the air signal.

My doubts are:
On the "device" label of the virtualized OS , we placed two Network adapter devices, given that . In order to make it properly work, what should be the adjustments there? We have already chosen the following adjustments:
VMnet0(custom)
VMnet8(custom)

By the way, the Internet navigation is working pretty fine inside the virtualized ,and Firstspot system is being started normally. Are there any other things we should worry about?

Regards
Renato

From FirstSpot point of view, it doesn't aware of the virtualization. So the key is that your network setup is okay,

Please email us at firstspot@patronsoft.com your old and new MAC address (Visitor Network Interface). We will email you the new license key immediately once we receive your MAC.
